Chateau Mouton-Rothschild 1953 Pauillac 1er-Cru 150cl
Elevated to 1st-Growth of the 1855 Classification of Medoc in 1973, Chateau Mouton-Rothschild is one of the great Bordeaux wine estates.
The estate's vineyards are planted to 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot - a ratio to which their wine roughly follows with slight annual variation; Matured in French Oak barrels for 18-22 months.
Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.
Please note there shall be a shipping charge equivalent to 2 bottles applied to this lot.
This bottle appears to be in excellent condition: label slightly loose; foil seal intact; cork/closure appears secure, no leakage.
The contents of this bottle appear to be very mature in colour and of good clarity.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit or otherwise spoilage of contents.
