De Gernon Desbarats 1929 Ludon / 6 Bottles
Red wine from the village of Ludon (Ludon-Medoc) in the south of the Medoc peninsula, just northwest of the city of Bordeaux.
Likely to be a classic southern left-bank Bordeaux-blend of approximately equal volumes of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with potentially tiny volumes of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec and/or Carmenere; bottled by the negociant firm of De Gernon, Desbarats & Co.
The seller informs us that these bottles are believed to be from the private stock of the owners of Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou, however this is entirely unverifiable.
1929 is known to be one of the greatest vintages of the 20th Century.
Please note that there shall be a shipping charge for 6 bottles applied to this lot.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
