product Details

Dalva "Golden White" 1971 Colheita Port

A very rare and highly unusual bottle of Port, created by amalgamating different styles of Port production.  Colheita Ports are single-vintage wines exclusively matured for extended periods of time in small oak barrels (opposed to Vintage Ports which are single-vintage wines matured in the bottle); White Ports are produced exclusively from white grapes - principally Malvasia Fina, Viosinho, Donzelinho and Gouveia.

This exclusive Port was made from white grapes harvested during the 1971 vintage, bottled in 2002 after spending the best part of 3 decades maturing in small oak barrels.

Important Notice

We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.

Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
