Viña Tondonia 2004 Rioja Reserva 2x75cl
This red wine from the northern Spanish DOC of Rioja is a blend of Tempranillo (75%) and Garnacho (15%), with Graciano and Mazuelo together contributing only 10%; matured in oak barrels for 6 years.
An interesting note is that when the term "Reserva" was defined in the 1970s, the owner of Viña Tondonia, Don Pedro López Heredia, objected and refused to use the new classifications on his labels. Viña Tondonia continue to label their wines on the principle of an "Estate Classification" as even their entry-level wine would naturally qualify for the legal term of "Gran Reserva".
Please note that there shall be a shipping charge for 2 bottles applied to this lot.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
