Graham's 1972 Single Harvest Tawny Port 450cl
"Single Harvest Tawny Port" is quite possibly the shortest and most accurate description of Colheita ports.
Colheita port is similar to Vintage port in that it is produced from the crop of a single exceptional year. However, while Vintage ports spend only a brief 2 years in large oak vats and the majority of their ageing in bottle, Colheita ports are matured exclusively in smaller oak barrels for as many years as the producer deems necessary.
This fine port is from grapes harvested in the beautiful Douro Valley in September and October 1972, vinified and left to mature in oak barrels until bottling in 2015 following the personal selection by Head Winemaker, Charles Symington.
Please note that there shall be a shipping charge equivalent to 6 bottles applied to this lot.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
