Château Cheval Blanc is undisputedly the top wine estate in the Bordeaux appellation of Saint-Emilion and - classified as one of only four Premier Grand Cru Classé "A" - is rightly considered an equal among the likes of Mouton- and Lafite-Rothschild in regards both quality and iconic stature.
Cheval Blanc regard 1962 as a very good year (overshadowed by the exceptional 1961); their wines were matured for approximately 18 months in new French oak barrels.
