Viña Tondonia 6 Ano Rioja Gran Reserva
This red wine from the northern Spanish DOC of Rioja is a blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha with small amounts of Graciano and Mazuelo, matured in oak barrels for 6 years.
An interesting note is that when the term "Gran Reserva" was defined in the 1970s, the owner of Viña Tondonia, Don Pedro López Heredia, objected and refused to use the new classifications on his labels. Hence the term "Gran Reserva" does not feature on this wine's label, although requirements for such have been - not only met, but - exceeded.
Please note that there shall be a shipping charge for 3 bottles applied to this lot.
These bottles are in excellent condition: label & foil/wax seal intact; cork/closure secure, no leakage.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
