B.Giacosa 1971 Nebbiolo d'Alba

Nebbiolo is one of the great native grape varieties of northern Italy, responsible for producing some incredibly long-living wines.  Nebbiolo d'Alba means literally, Nebbiolo from (the town of) Alba, in the Piedmont region of northwest Italy.

This wine - from the legendary winemaker, Bruno Giacosa - is from the renowned hillside cru of Valmaggiore; matured in French Oak for approximately 14 months.
