Antinori "Solaia" 2004 Tuscany
Solaia is a "Super-Tuscan" by nature of being made from grape varieties not native to Tuscany, and is from the same stable of wines as the famed Tignanello.
While current vintages of Tignanello is Sangiovese dominant, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc; Solaia is Cabernet Sauvignon dominant (approximately 75%) with Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc supporting; matured in new French Oak barrels for 18 months.
