Chateau Lafite-Rothschild 1961 Pauillac

From the Pauillac appellation and ranked as one of the original four 1st Growths (1er-Cru) in the famed 1855 Classification of Medoc, Chateau Lafite-Rothschild is one of the great Bordeaux wine estates.

The wines of Lafite-Rothschild feature varying compositions of 80-95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5-20% Merlot, 0-5% Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot; matured in new oak barrels for between 18 to 20 months.

Bordeaux' 1961 vintage is one of the greatest of the 20th Century with the top wines among the most sought-after by serious collectors and consumers alike.
