From the single vineyard, Idig, by the village of Konigsbach in the Pfalz wine-region south of Frankfurt, this white wine is made from the Riesling grape variety.
Eiswein (or ice-wine) is made from grapes which were picked in the middle of winter. The water content inside each grape being frozen, when gently cold-pressed, the sweet sugary pulp is drawn separately and vinified to a delightfully sweet wine.
