Château Lascombes is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, and is often considered a "Super Second" - 2nd Growth wines of quality comparable to the 1st Growths.
The wines of Château Lascombes are typically blends featuring a Cabernet Sauvignon dominance (50-55%), Merlot (40-45%) and approximately 5% of Petit Verdot; Matured for approximately 18 months in oak barrels.
This bottle is from the excellent 1986 vintage.
